Beijing, April 24 -- Mr. Cai E’Sheng, Chairman of the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, and Mr. Wu Zhong, Director-General both delivered speech in the Phoenix TV “Belt and Road” Partner Conference.
During the conference, the Chinese version of the report and video case collection "China's Contribution to South-South Cooperation: Cases and Implications" was launched by Mr. Cai E’Sheng, Mr. Jorge Chediek, UNOSSC Director and Envoy of the Secretary-General on South-South Cooperation, Mr. Liu Diandian, Deputy Director of Phoenix Chinese Channel, and Mr. Sun Qixin, President of the Chinese Agricultural University. The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation, the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, and Phoenix TV supported the framework, research, and writing of the report and case set while the China Institute for South-South Cooperation in Agriculture of China Agricultural University provided technical support. The report focused on the South-South cooperation model for China and the impact of China's participation in overseas South-South cooperation model and experiences. The English version of the report was released at BAPA+40 in March 2019.
In addition, South-South Galaxy was released during the conference. South-South galaxy is a global digital knowledge sharing and partnership brokering platform that would be able to respond more systematically and effectively in supporting Southern countries’ demand to connect, learn and collaborate with potential partners. The platform was jointly developed by the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation.
On April 25th, the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation will attend the Second “One Belt, One Road” Forum for International Cooperation Sub-national Cooperation side-event to support sustainable development.
