To build a comprehensive platform for capacity cooperation and set a new example for China-Rwanda cooperation
The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the largest diplomatic event organized by China this year, is to be held in Beijing. On the afternoon of September 1, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and the delegation of Hunan Province discussed capacity cooperation between China and Rwanda in Beijing, inspired by the Financial Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC) and the Made in Africa Initiative (MIAI).
RDB, Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Co. Ltd. (HNCA), FCSSC and MIAI signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which marks a new start of China-Rwanda capacity cooperation. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Infrastructure of Rwanda, Vice Governor He Jinping, Deputy Head and Deputy Secretary General of the Department of Commerce and Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province, and the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Rwanda in Beijing.
This MOU signals all-round cooperation between Henan Province and Rwanda in agriculture, manufacturing capacity, aviation infrastructure, passenger and cargo airlines, industrial parks, etc. FCSSC and MIAI, as bridges for China-Africa and South-South cooperation, will continue to accelerate the setting of a new example for Henan-Rwanda capacity cooperation.
