On December 9, 2024, Wu Zhong, Director-General of FCSSC, met with Hailemariam Desalegn, Chair of the Board of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, in Haikou, Hainan Province. They engaged in in-depth discussions on future China-Africa cooperation and plans to jointly organize events in 2025.
AGRA is a prominent international organization dedicated to driving agricultural transformation across Africa. Its mission is to enhance food production, improve farmers’ livelihoods, and foster rural economic development. Since its founding, AGRA has made significant strides in advancing agricultural innovation, capacity-building, and policy reforms, contributing to food security and poverty alleviation in numerous African countries. The organization plays a vital role in global efforts to support sustainable development in the region.
