The Sixth Air Silk Road International Forum (ASRIF) was Successfully Held in Chongqing

On September 26, the Sixth Air Silk Road International Forum (ASRIF), co-hosted by the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, the International Cooperation Alliance of the Air Silk Road, the China Port Association, and HNA Aviation Group, was successfully held in Chongqing. It marks the first time that ASRIF has been held outside of Beijing. As a key industry forum of the China International Fair for Trade in Services, ASRIF focuses on the theme of "High-Quality Construction of the Air Silk Road and Enhancing the New Land-Sea Corridor in the West," aiming to create a broader platform for international dialogue and exchanges related to the Air Silk Road.

During the opening ceremony, Zhang Laiwu, the Chief Economist of FCSSC and Former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, delivered an opening speech. In the high-level dialogue "Supporting the Belt and Road Initiative: Jointly Build the Air Silk Road with Ambassadors”, Director General of FCSSC Wu Zhong served as the moderator and launched the discussions on the opportunities and prospects for aviation cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative with guests from the Tunisian Embassy in China, as well as representatives from Spain, Laos, Macau International Airport, and GE Aviation Greater China. In the project release segment, Deputy Director General of FCSSC Liu Qianqian introduced the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation and its positive role in empowering Chinese enterprises' overseas investments. FCSSC also signed a tripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement with the China (Kenya) Investment Development and Trade Promotion Center and Chongqing Zhien Translational Medical Research Institute Co., Ltd.

This forum attracted over 500 participants from government, aviation companies, and international organizations. Distinguished guests included Zhang Guozhi, Vice Mayor of Chongqing; Dong Zhiyi, former Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China; and Zhang Haocheng, Deputy Director of the International Service Trade Center in Beijing. Additionally, consuls and foreign guests from countries such as the UK, Tunisia, Spain, and Laos attended the forum and joined discussions.

During the forum, Director General of FCSSC Wu Zhong was interviewed by several media outlets. He emphasized that the development of the Air Silk Road relies heavily on financial support, and FCSSC has been actively promoting financial innovations in the field of sustainable development. In recent years, as Chinese private enterprises go abroad and launch "small but beautiful" projects in various countries, they create more job opportunities for local people, and help establish corresponding industrial systems, resulting in a mutually beneficial and win-win situation.
