On September 11, 2024 IDC Annual Ceremony was held in Shanghai. Wu Zhong, Director General of Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC), was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the forum themed “Tomorrow Revolution: create new business patterns”.
In his keynote speech titled "Digitalization-Based Financial Innovation: Creating New Models for Corporate Financing," Director General Wu Zhong introduced the concept and characteristics of Revenue-Based Financing (RBF). He emphasized its significant role and potential in assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with financing. Using Micro Connect as an example, he illustrated how it, as a promoter of RBF in China, connects a vast number of SMEs with international capital through digital technology and financial innovation. The operation of Micro Connect Macau Financial Assets Exchange (MCEX) further facilitates the establishment of cross-industry ecological partnerships among banking institutions, payment agencies, digital technology enterprises and so on.
Such financial innovations not only provide methods and means for corporate financing, but also lay a solid foundation for subsequent business innovations. In the future, the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation will continue to fulfill its primary role in financial services, supporting and promoting the sustainable development of Chinese enterprises through various approaches.
