On May 11, 2021, the China Brand Day 2021 and the 5th “Shenzhen International Brand Week” was grandly kicked off in Shenzhen under the joint organization of the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC) and several organizations. The brand week was organized by Federation of Shenzhen Industries, FCSSC, UNIDO Centre for South-South and Industrial Cooperation, Propaganda Department of CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, among others. Under the theme of “Leading the Greater Bay Area, Building a New Pattern”, this brand week published the 7th “International Reputation Brands”, "Shenzhen Famous Brands" and the “List of Innovative Enterprises in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Greater Bay Area 2020”. 

FCSSC was one of the co-organizers of the event. Dr. Liu Qianqian, Deputy Director General of FCSSC, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the event. 

In addition, the opening ceremony welcomed Lin Zongtang, former Minister of China National Aerospace Industry, Yu Youjun, former Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government and former Governor of Shanxi Provincial Government, Wang Suiming, former member of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and former Vice Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government, Xiong Meng, Party Secretary of China Federation of Industrial Economics, Li Yingji, President of China Council for Industrial Environmental Protection, Huang Qiang, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Guo Li, Director of UNIDO Centre for South-South and Industrial Cooperation, Eva Verstraelen, commercial consul of the Consulate General of the kingdom of Belgium in Guangzhou, Karol Pęczak, commercial consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou, Zhou Yi, former member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Guo Rongjun, former vice mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government, Wang Zhaowen, senior counsellor of the Guangdong Provincial Government and founder of Federation of Shenzhen Industries, and other guests. More than 500 representatives from domestic and international branding authorities, experts and enterprises also took part in the event.
