FCSSC supported the 3rd “Air Silk Road” International Forum in China

The 3rd “Air Silk Road” International Forum was held in China National Convention Center (Beijing) on September 5-6, 2021. This year’s summit, as a key forum of China International Fair for Trade in Service (CIFTIS) in 2021, was co-organized by “Air Silk Road” International Cooperation Alliance (ASRICA), China International Center for Economic & Technical Exchanges (CICETE), International Cooperation and Service Center of CAAC (ICSCC), and Beijing Airport Economic Core Zone Administrative Committee. Focusing on the theme of “Air Silk Road leads airport economy to open up at a high level”, the forum discussed such topics as the development idea of “Air Silk Road”, the gathering of international factors to enhance the level of aviation service trade in the context of “dual circulation”, the path of building an innovative demonstration zone of “Air Silk Road”, and the development of intelligent civil aviation.


The Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC) co-organized this year’s “Air Silk Road” International Forum. Mr. Wu Zhong, Director General of FCSSC attended the opening ceremony of this year’s forum and made a concluding speech at the closing ceremony. Mr. Wu Zhong also attended the opening ceremony of the parallel forum themed “international forum on airport economy vocational education” and made an opening speech. 


At the forum, Zhang Yi, Deputy Director of China International Center for Economic & Technical Exchanges (CICETE), presided over the speech session, and Zhi Xianwei, Executive Vice Mayor of Shunyi District of Beijing Municipality, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the organizers. Other speeches were delivered by Wang Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), Conrad Clifford, Vice President of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Mr. Dong Zhiyi, Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Mr. Weng Mengyong, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Yu Luming, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Branch of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Matt Ashworth, Commercial Counselor of the British Embassy Beijing, Gao Fu, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Liu Daxiang, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Nearly 1,000 people from more than 500 domestic and international organizations attended the forum.
