Director-General Mr. Wu meets with Mr.Jorge Chediek, Director of UNOSSC, and Ms. Grace Wang, Policy Adviser on South-South Cooperation of UNDP

On February 25th, 2016, Director-General Mr. Wu Zhong and Director of International Affairs Coordination Ms. Joyce Zhang met with Mr.Jorge Chediek, Director of United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation(UNOSSC), and Ms. Grace Wang, Policy Adviser on South-South Cooperation of the UNDP. Both parties had in-depth discussion about the future development of South-South Cooperation, as well as its importance to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda. It was agreed by both parties that knowledge creation is key to flourish the essence of South-South Cooperation. Furthermore, both parties are considering to conduct joint research to publish an annual report of South-South Cooperation, which tracks various efforts and initiatives of Southern Countries to contribute to the implementation of the SDGs.
